REWIND: FORTY YEARS OF DESIGN AND ADVERTISING
Rewind charts the history of design and advertising over the last forty years. Drawing on the extensive archives of the London-based organization, Design and Art Direction (DAD), one of the worlds leading bodies representing the creative industries of design and advertising, it covers a broad range of design disciplines including graphic design, TV, press and poster advertising, product design, new media and retail packaging. A wide-ranging essay sets out the historical framework and describes the main developments in design and advertising since the 1960s. A number of case studies illustrate key moments in design history. Leading practitioners have each contributed texts to the different decades, providing unique personal insights into the design and advertising of that era.
