As a result of external globalisation processes, and of internal social, economic and political stabilisation processes, Nicaragua has identified tourism as one of the main sources of income in the 21st Century. However, this situation should be fully taken advantage of in order to establish a sustainable regional development aimed at overcoming the country¿s weaknesses.
